So far the highest number of foreigners and families with small children visited this year's free-to-attend event series organised by Pesti Vigadó.

The "Open Doors" Day events, held on 27th May 2017 and commemorating the 135th anniversary of the birth and the 50th anniversary of the death of globally-known Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály, have come to an end. In line with Pesti Vigadó's expectations, two thousand people participated in the event series, which was held all day. In fact, some of the guests to these events were among the first visitors to see our new permanent exhibition, located in one of the exhibition halls on the 6th floor, entitled "Pesti Vigadó's Timeline", which provides a pictorial description of the history of this magnificent building.

Several of this May's "Open Doors" Day events actually catered for our youngest visitors: for kindergarteners and very young school children and for their parents. Thanks to this, Pesti Vigadó could welcome an unprecedented high number of families with small children at this event series.

As compared to "Open Doors" Day events of the previous years, there has been a marked increase in the number of foreign visitors, which is a clear indication that Pesti Vigadó has become one of Budapest's favourite tourist destinations.
