A new member of Vakvarju Restaurant chains opens in Pesti Vigadó's building in November: the new restaurant will be called Vigvarju

Since 1833, Pesti Vigadó's compelling building, situated halfway between the Chain Bridge and Elizabeth Bridge on the Pest side of the Danube Embankment, has been a bustling venue of the social life characteristic of Budapest's city centre. Pesti Vigadó's Classicist style building has always been the home of the highest culture and has, from the very start, hosted joyous events attracting those residents of Pest who wished to spend some really good time in the fun-loving companies frequenting Pesti Vigadó.

Now a new, befittingly vibrant, joyous and carelessly cheerful member of Vakvarju Restaurant chains is moving into Pesti Vigadó: the new restaurant invites all those who wish to experience light-hearted merriment fashioned in the ‘carpe diem' style for a really good meal.

It is hoped that Vigvarju will soon occupy a unique place among Hungarian restaurants partly due to its wide range of daily special delicacies.

The restaurant's art poetica is as follows: if our guests prefer to eat in our restaurant rather than at home, then this means we have made one tiny step towards our intended goal.
