The highest number of guided tours for groups so far and an unprecedented success at the handcraft workshops – both at Pesti Vigadó's 6th "Open Doors" Day Events!

Here is a brief summary about the "Open Doors" Day Events held on 16th September 2017. Pesti Vigadó's well-prepared tour guides offered guided tours for groups and historic walk tours at as many as nine different times. On this special day, children and their parents could take part in handcraft workshops held by Regular Member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts felt maker artist István Vidák, felt maker artist Mari Nagy and their students, as well as by painter Anikó Zöld. Participants could also attend a dance show and dance house offered jointly by Budapest Bartók Dance Ensemble and Erdőfű Band, and they were also entertained by Maszk Puppet Theatre's performance. As part of the afternoon program, students of Snétberger Music Talent Center staged a performance in Pesti Vigadó's Ceremonial Hall in order to captivate the audience with the help of their musical talent.

The success of Pesti Vigadó's 6th "Open Doors" Day Events, following in the footsteps of similar previous events under the same name, clearly signals that there is demand for programs in the scope of which different generations can collectively take part in art and cultural events held at the same time.

Pesti Vigadó is organising the next "Open Doors" Day Event in spring 2018.
