Pesti Vigadó's romantic building, designed by Hungarian architect Frigyes Feszl, currently houses seven exhibitions at six venues

Below, you will a brief description of these exciting exhibitions.


18th November – 14th January

Exhibition by Sculptor József Palotás

Exhibition by Graphic Artist Líviusz Gyulai

Tales narrated by still images and motion pictures

Stranded between Heaven and Earth

Exhibition by Zsuzsa Pannonhalmi – PANNON 2017

Gates and Flags

Exhibition by Katalin Szávoszt

"The act of going through gates – may the gate in question be Gate Vienna in Budapest's Castle District or the gate of a Grand Boulevard based house in Budapest – is supposed to bring changes into one's life both symbolically and in reality."

Miniature Pictures – Matching Pictures

The exhibition entitled Miniature Pictures has always been present throughout the history of the Day of Hungarian Painting. To this exhibition, around a hundred painters are invited each year to showcase (canvas) images of 20 x 20 cm in size. The concept behind organising this exhibition has always been to introduce high-quality painting initiatives by offering a very wide scope and range of artistic outlooks and viewpoints.

Mosaic and collage exhibition by interior designer and applied artist György Fekete

After having finished his lifework of interior design and interior planning, well-known interior designer and President of the Hungarian Academy of Arts György Fekete, who is retiring from his position this year, developed an elsewhere unknown mosaic and collage design, which is based on the exploration of the internal properties and the visual presentation of diverse types of wood.

On the 6th floor, situated along the corridor leading to the Panoramic Terrace, Pesti Vigadó's permanent exhibition entitled the Timeline of Pesti Vigadó – The Pictorial History of Pesti Vigadó is showcased. This exhibition features contemporary photos, which portray not only the history of the 

building but also highlight some of the most important events in the history and cultural history of Hungary and the world.

Tickets for the exhibitions can be purchased at a price of HUF 800 and 1,500 (these are walk-around tickets). Alternatively, combined tickets can also be purchased at a price of HUF 2,500, which entitle visitors to enter the exhibitions as well as all halls, rooms and spaces accessible to the general public in the historic building of Pesti Vigadó.
