Benedict Day Bach Concert Series Part 3
By retaining the original orchestration, J. S. Bach’s orchestrated works can be played on any rhythm instrument without losing or compromising the essence, the perfection or the original meaning of the musical piece in question. Certainly, there is only one condition for this to realise: an appropriately trained, skilled, genuine and committed performer should play Bach’s music on his own instruments – in our case on percussion rhythm instruments. And Benedek Tóth qualifies as such a performer and artist.
