This evening’s extremely exciting program includes Levente Gyöngyösi’s Mass No. 4 conducted by Kossuth and Hungarian Heritage Awards winning Dénes Szabó and performed by Pro Musica Girls’ Choir. This is followed by two virtuoso concertos by Gyöngyösi: the soloist of the flute concerto is Gergely Ittzés while the piano concerto features József Balog as soloist. Based on Bulgakov’s novel The Master and Margarita, the closing piece will be a 20-minute-long part from Gyöngyösi’s grand-scale opera musical composed for Szabolcs Várady’s text; the performance will also stage outstanding vocal soloists. The evening features Budafoki Dohnányi Ernő Symphony Orchestra conducted by Franz Liszt Award winning Gábor Hollerung.
