The exhibition displays a selection of the painter’s artworks from the past 30 years. From among the fine art genres in Gábor Véssey’s portfolio, the artist’s mixed method panel paintings and sculptures will be showcased at this exhibition. Through the ironic and expressive tones, Gábor Véssey’s figural paintings reflect upon our modern world. Apart from his latest paintings, the exhibition also displays never-before-seen series of paintings by the artist, in the scope of which painter Gábor Véssey, through his hommages and paraphrases, contemplates on artworks produced by artists close to his heart. In order to celebrate the opening of the exhibition, the Publishing House of the Hungarian Academy of Arts will print a comprehensive album of Gábor Véssey’s works.
