FRÉDERIC CHOPIN is one of the great personalities of the romantic era who while looking for ever newer ways of expression, effectively rewrote the rules of piano playing pushing further and further the frontiers for that instrument. His music  is strongly influenced by the rich musical and dance traditions of his native Poland so easily recognized for their unique rhythm. Whereas his nocturns belong to the music of the night, the impromptu pieces to be played during the concert are their daylight counterparts – a true experience in its own right. And finally the ballads represent a world unfolding within the new narrative form brought to life by Chopin. Each and every one of the pieces to be played pose very high demands not in the least of techical nature as well as of subtle creative talent of expression for the performing artist. As a result one can enjoy the exceptional melody, elegant chromatics, unique rhythm, that is so important in the ouvre of Chopin.

The event supported by: the Polish Institute Budapest celebrating its 80th anniversary.
