This year marks the 22nd edition of the Golden Pin Exhibition, one of the largest annual showcases of domestic graphic design. This year, it is held at a new venue, the Pest Vigadó building, where it awaits visitors. The exhibition presents the works of the best professionals in the graphic design industry and will be open until January 5, 2025.

The goal of the competition and exhibition is to provide an annual opportunity for talented artists working in graphic design to showcase their work. What makes this event special is that it is being held for the first time in the Pest Vigadó building, and the displayed works are primarily created for specific commissions and competitions, reflecting graphic design results closely connected to everyday life.

During the opening ceremony on December 3, 2024, the best professionals in the field were awarded the Golden Pin Award in several categories, recognizing excellence in graphic design. The awardees include renowned experts such as:

  • István András Bakos, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Péter Molnár, who was recognized for his outstanding graphic design work in recent years
  • Péter Bence Simon, who received the Sovereign Graphic Design Award
  • Ágnes Herr, who won the Cultural Award
  • Creative Lines, The Graphic Design Studio of the Year
  • Gréta Smátrola, who received the Diploma Work of the Year Award
  • Árpád Dezső, who was awarded the Young Graphic Designer of the Year
  • Attila Auth and Balázs Vargha, who were recognized for their outstanding contributions to Hungarian graphic design

The exhibition also highlights the work of István Bányai, the world-famous Hungarian graphic designer and illustrator, who would have turned 75 this year. A special display showcases Bányai's most significant domestic and international works, including his famous Hungarian movie posters, album covers, illustrations, and world-class conceptual illustrated books, such as Zoom and Re-Zoom.

We warmly congratulate all the awardees and participants and invite visitors to the exhibition to celebrate the latest achievements of Hungarian graphic design!
