Folk songs, folk dances and folk traditions are handed down from father to son for generations of long-long centuries.

Relying on Tihamér Vujicsics’ and Béla Bartók’s collections as well as on their own collections of folk songs, the musicians of Vujicsics Ensemble – founded in 1974 and acknowledged with a Kossuth Award in 2014 – had been playing authentic south Slavic folk music so enthrallingly powerfully that even their children and students were incapable of resisting the temptation of these wonderful tunes and started their own band. So in 1995 Söndörgő Ensemble was born, which today boasts of international recognition. In this large family of musicians (where the most frequent surname is Eredics), even a third generation of musicians wants to make themselves heard. And this voice is nobody else’s but that of ViGaD Trio established in 2013. The performance of Tabán Serbian Dance Ensemble makes this captivating “three-generational” concert even more colourful and spectacular.
