This Christmas concert by Symphonia Fantasia offers classical music delicacies. Featuring shorter musical pieces in diverse styles, the event stages the most outstanding Baroque and Romantic pieces, which are made complete with brief musical references and stories narrated by the concert’s conductor. A rarely-heard Verdi overture, two mezzo-soprano bravura arias, violinists’ pizzicato play and a virtuoso double bass performance by a young talent will certainly create a special audience experience. The ending of the second part of the concert will create an inspirational Christmas atmosphere befitting the festive preparations of the period. In addition, the event also offers an opportunity to jointly sing a well-known Christmas song with special instrumentation for orchestra.
