MVM Classic&Club | Violin versus Piano

The Battle of Instruments

Apollo and Pan, Bach and Marchand, Liszt and Thalberg – these are just a few of the famous musicians who once competed against each other. These musical duels, often called "battles," were occasions where the finest musicians showcased their skills in front of an audience. This noble contest can be experienced by the public at the Pesti Vigadó, where top-tier musicians will take the stage to demonstrate their talents and the potential of their instruments. It will not only be a display of technical brilliance but also true artistry, as this is not just a battle between musicians, but a meeting of different genres and performance styles. Alongside the competitive atmosphere, the audience will experience how a popular Gorácz József song and its classical arrangement, as well as a virtuosic violin piece and its piano version, can coexist harmoniously. Musician Duel: a unique event with excellent pairings.
