The event series that aims creating a meeting place for the Hungarian and other nationalities of the Carpathian Basin concludes with a Gala Concert in Vigadó following concerts in non-Hungarian premises. It is still a mission for us to help The event series entitled the ‘Music of the Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin’, which started in 2001, will stage gala concerts from September till November this year, too. The concerts will be hosted by the settlements located in Vojvodina, Transcarpathia, Transylvania, Croatia, Mura, Austria and Slovakia – reaching this way the Hungarian minorities living int he surrounding countris. The concerts will also host local folk band and dancers, thereby emphasizing the cultural relations between the Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin. At the concerts we continue collecting donations for the poor people living in Transcarpathia.
