Since 1973, leader of Muzsikas Hungarian Folk Music Ensemble Mihály Sipos – following the footsteps of great Hungarian composers and folk-song collectors Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály – has been engaged in answering a professional call to actively pursue the life-long activity of collecting Hungarian folk music treasures, including the authentic performance as well as the widespread cultivation and preservation of this unique musical heritage.
