New year concert by Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, with Klára Kolonits
Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra was formed in 1963 by the graduating students of the Budapest-based Franz Liszt College of Music (Franz Liszt Music Academy).
Legendary professor of the Music Academy Sándor Frigyes became the first music director of the Chamber. After his death, the post of music director was filled by Meritorious Artist of Hungary pianist János Rolla in 1979.
On 3rd January 2017, the Chamber Orchestra performs a new year concert with the participation of Franz Liszt Award winning opera singer Klára Kolonits in Vigadó’s Ceremonial Hall.
