Paper, Pencil and Children's Creativity as Medication

Unfortunately, the period of true happiness and bliss so characteristic of kids' lives instantly comes to an end once children with serious illnesses learn about their condition. The trauma caused by this realisation is made visible through the souls and thoughts of these children. Through its invitation for artworks, Health and Art (HEART) Group wishes to expose these feelings in the scope of this special exhibition. From 24 countries, the Group received almost 1300 drawings created by (formerly) hospitalised children or by children suffering from chronic diseases. The best of these artworks are featured at a worldwide exhibition, in the scope of which Pesti Vigadó's Café also displays a special selection of works of art. The exhibition is open until the end of June.
