Medic Orchestra was founded in 2008 and is composed of former and current students of Semmelweis University and other higher education institutions in Hungary. The ensemble, which performs predominantly as a symphonic orchestra, is not only a regular performer at university events but also gives concerts in both Hungary and abroad. Among many other concerts, as part of an international cooperation, the Orchestra toured the Visegrad Countries in 2022 and performed Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the foundation of Semmelweis University.
