László Ujvárossy is celebrating his 70th birthday this year, and on this occasion, an exhibition of his work will be held in the exhibition hall on the 5th floor of the Pesti Vigadó. Munkácsy Mihály Prize-winning Hungarian graphic artist from Transylvania, university professor, and member of the Fine Arts Section of the Hungarian Academy of Arts.
In his own words: “I took the title of the exhibition from Miklós Radnóti to honor the poet’s greatness on the 80th anniversary of his death. I envisioned the arrangement of the works as a three-di - mensional film-book, where, through spatial design, view - ers can gain ‘intellectual ener - gy’ with the help of art ther - apy. Radnóti’s fate provides a reason for me to combine visual contrasts regarding myself and the contemporary condition—linking the past to the present, children’s draw - ings to speculative logic, light to darkness, and the order of reason against the ‘spontane - ous actions of the heart.’"
