The striking installations placed under the arcades of the Pesti Vigadó—illuminated metal structures and dynamic LED surfaces—evoke the world of dance movements in a unique, contemporary form. They mark the joint anniversary celebration of two institutions: the 100th anniversary of the Hungarian University of Sports Science and the 75th anniversary of the Hungarian Dance University. These works are not standalone pieces but are integral elements of the open-air jubilee exhibition titled "TF100 – MTE75: Sport, Dance Art, Culture."
The exhibition's main venue is the building of the Hungarian University of Sports Science, where visitors can explore the aesthetic and dynamic connections between sport and dance through 25 large-scale photographs. Meanwhile, the light installations at the Pesti Vigadó offer an independent artistic experience for passersby in the city center, while visually evoking the shared foundations of both fields: movement, physical culture, and creative energy.
The uniqueness of the exhibition lies precisely in this synthesis: the expressive power and discipline inherent in movement, which characterize both dance and sport, create not only a shared language but also a shared cultural value. Through lights, forms, and movements frozen in time, the visual world tells a story of tradition, progress, and how physical performance can become an artistic experience.
The Hungarian Dance University's installations also guide visitors along the path the institution has taken since its founding as the State Ballet Institute in 1950. At the same time, they pay tribute to all the artists—whether as teachers or students—who have been part of this history.
