On February 28, 2025, the Essentia Artis exhibition and interdisciplinary arts series opened: featuring the work of four hundred artists, and four thematic days, it invites the public to the exhibition space on the 6th floor of the Pesti Vigadó.
The exhibition showcases the works of the MMA 2024 scholarship recipients. The opening speech was given by László Koppány Csáji, Director of the MMA Art Theory and Methodology Research Institute, followed by a welcoming address by Attila Turi, President of MMA, and the exhibition and program series were officially opened by Zoltán Rátóti, Vice President of MMA. The event featured performances by David Spischak, bassist, double bassist, musicologist, and András Csáki, guitarist.
Attila Turi explained that the scholarship program was launched with the goal of "supporting the professional development of young and mid-career artists, and fostering the creation of a strong, inspiring artistic community. For the MMA, it is of paramount importance that through this program, the next generation of artists can continue their value-creating work, while building a supportive network that will help ensure the diversity and development of Hungarian cultural life in the long term," as stated on the MMA website.
The exhibition is accompanied by thematic days, the schedule of which can be found on the website www.essentia.hu.
