A Group Exhibition by the Studio of Young Designers Association (FISE)
The exhibition presents fresh and exciting directions in contemporary Hungarian design and applied arts. The objects on display offer a comprehensive overview of Hungarian artists’ approaches to design, craftsmanship and collectible design, as well as their creative processes. Alongside fully realised works, experimental pieces also play a prominent role, allowing visitors a glimpse behind the scenes and presenting the broad diversity of outstanding contemporary Hungarian applied arts.
The exhibition operates on three levels: it reviews creative practice and professional achievements; explores the relationship between product design and artistic ambition; and, through the works on display, introduces visitors to the traditions of the design profession, its current challenges and its future possibilities. The featured works provide a comprehensive overview of contemporary Hungarian applied arts, encompassing interior design, product design, ceramics, textiles, metalwork, glass and visual communication.
The upper exhibition space presents a selection of works by more than one hundred designers and applied artists, while the gallery in the basement of the Vigadó hosts a joint exhibition by Czech and Hungarian students, as well as interactive workshops, craft activities and round-table discussions. The event offers a valuable meeting point for professionals and the general public alike.
