Event of the 13th Open House - Festive Day of Arts
A conversation with visual artists Eszter Csurka, Judit Horváth Lóczi, and Judit Rabóczky, moderated by art historian Noémi Szabó.
This discussion brings together three female artists with distinct characters and stylistic approaches—Eszter Csurka, Judit Rabóczky, and Judit Horváth Lóczi—whose artistic practices explore sensitive and relevant questions related to the universal experience of womanhood, as well as the transformation of body and soul. The conversation will also touch on feminist perspectives present in their work and their critiques, the position of women artists within the Hungarian institutional system, and sensual themes such as becoming a woman, marriage, motherhood, and the metamorphosis of the female body—all of which play a central role in their artistic focus.
Through projected images, the audience will gain insight into the artists’ past and ongoing projects, as well as their collaborative works.
