The first International Enamel Art Workshop in Kecskemét was held in 1975 with the support of the Bács-Kiskun County Council. Chemists from the Kecskemét Enamel Works assisted artists who were previously unfamiliar with the use of enamel.

Over the past fifty years, artists from all over the world have gathered here on forty-five occasions, each time for at least three weeks, bringing with them distinctive professional knowledge. The works created during these workshops have formed one of the richest collections of enamel art of our time in Kecskemét. Visitors to this exhibition are offered an insight into this remarkable success.
