Concert by the Institute of Music, Faculty of Music and Visual Arts, University of Pécs
The Institute of Music of the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts, University of Pécs, will once again give a concert at the Pesti Vigadó for the audience of the capital.
Performers of the concert: opera singer Erika Miklósa and trumpet artist Péter Solymosi, who will perform Baroque pieces accompanied by the University Orchestra of the University of Pécs.
The Women’s Choir of the University of Pécs will perform works by Johannes Brahms and Aurél Tillai, recipient of the Kossuth Prize and native of Pécs, under the direction of Laura Antal.
The Pécs Saxophone Ensemble, led by Zsuzsanna Szendrői, will perform classical evergreens arranged and conducted by Szabolcs Kiss.
Miklós Kocsár’s piece Hungarian Christmas will evoke the atmosphere of Advent with ten popular Christmas carols, performed by the choir and nativity players of the Saint Maur School Centre (conductors: Anikó Kopjár and Ágnes Tumpekné Kuti), together with the University Women’s Choir and Orchestra.
